Welcome to True to the Trident!

We're home.

To everyone who supported us following our departure from SoDo Mojo, thank you so much. After a month of planning, we want to finally welcome you to our new home: True to the Trident.

This website will allow us to bring our readers Seattle Mariners content you can’t find anywhere else, as well as provide a platform to passionate, diverse, and articulate writers who love the game of baseball and the Emerald City.

The True to the Trident brand will forever be focused on the growth of a community. We will work diligently to offer opportunities to men, women, and trans creatives of color and empower their voices. We will never shy away from topics that are bigger than baseball, nor will we silence ourselves or our writers.

We want to usher in a new era of Mariners baseball – hopefully one that makes their current playoff drought a distant memory – by building a platform that defies the current sports blogging model and truly puts its community – from staff to readers – first. We promise to be completely open and honest about the inner workings of True to the Trident and the Control the Zone podcast and how we plan to continue to grow.

All content on this website is free. However, you can support us by subscribing to our Patreon where we offer a weekly podcast and other exclusive Mariners-related content. It only costs $3 per month to get access to all of our podcast episodes!

Another way to support us is through our TeeSpring store where we offer tons of Mariners-themed merch. To celebrate the launch of our site, you can use the promo code ‘TRUE’ for 20% off your purchase this week only.

We are also aiming to release a limited edition t-shirt each month that supports a good cause. In June, we launched our ‘Strikeout Racism’ tee which raised $250 for the NAACP.

Whenever we drop something new, we’ll post about it here on the website, on our Patreon, and on our Twitter (which you should be following, if you aren’t already, wink wink).

Thank you again to those who’ve shown their support for us over the past month. It’s meant a great deal to both Colby and I and we hope to make you proud with this site and the brand as a whole. Let’s begin this journey.

Go damn M’s.
